New Rating System

I’ve been quite frustrated with my rating system lately. It did not give me the freedom to really rate the books I read. I know that probably does not make sense to anyone but me. I broke up the A’s and B’s because I feel as if those two need some clarification. A book can either be a high 5 or a low 5 but just rating it a 5 doesn’t express that. I didn’t do that for anything below the C’s because I don’t think it’s necessary.

A+-Excellent. Borderline classic. Must read. Would recommend to anyone with a pulse. There won’t be many of these. This will stay in my library right next to Pride and Prejudice. Current ratings-5*

B+-Very good. I liked it. Well worth a read. Very close to a A rating but not quite there. Someone else might like it a bit more but I will still keep a copy in my library. Current Rating-4.75

B-Very good. Some minor flaws but nothing to cry about. I’ll keep a copy in my collection. Worth a read. Current Rating-4.5 stars

B- -Still very good. Has some flaws but a good read nonetheless. Current rating-4 stars

C+-Didn’t make the B’s but was still good. There were too many issues for me to be able to give it a B but still worthwhile. Current Rating-3.75

C-It was okay. Not really my type of thing but someone else might like it more. Current rating 3.5 stars

C- -It was okay could have been a lot better. It is a good bit away from being put in my donation pile. Current rating-3 stars

D-If you are really desperate for something to read and this is the only book around. Current Rating-2 stars.

F-Don’t bother. I don’t like being mean but this book was terrible. I mean terrible. Current Rating-1 star
